Spoon Feeder Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 This has been an unusual year for Norfork. Usually when the thermocline sets in there is oxygen below the thermocline and that's where the big stripers are. This year it got hot early and stayed hot. There is no oxygen below the thermocline so most stripers are at 30 to 35 ft. This makes it tough on Norfork because it's such a clear lake and at those depths it's easy to spook the fish. Your best bet is to use horizontal jigging so you don't spook the fish. If your fish finder supports side imaging use this feature to locate the fish.
