I took a client to the Handicap access this morning. When we got there it was really nice. There was low water, sunshine, and cooperative trout. We did a half day and cought some nice fish. By the time we walked out, everyone that came to town early for sowbug was there. If you want to fish it, take your own rock so you can have a place to stand. With Mac's closed it is putting additional pressure on the handicap access. As I left, I called the dam and noted that Bull Shoals had been shut off at noon. Some wadable water on the White would really help.

The White was shut off at NOON Today. Did have a buddy up from Shreveport fishing today. He said he did Extremely well on the fork as well as the white. 30+ on the fork and 25+ on the white. Dr. Gonze on the EZ board is Mark Lavelle and extremly accommplished fisherman and one heck of a caster.

Some access in the C&R area would definatly be something the AG&F should look at and I hope they can be of some assistance in this area.

John,

My friend and I were taking out at Handicap at about 2:00.

I've only been on the river once and took your advice on the previous post and floated from dam to Handicap Mon the 12th.

Did you guys walk past 2 guys in a red canoe just up from handicap around noon?

Was a very nice trip but less water and lots more people than i expected. I could have used your expertise though to get me on the right track. We still did fairly well and we'll be back.

I caught a few on midges and copper johns. My buddy's were on eggs and jigs. I did manage to catch all 4 species though, so that was cool. Nice fat 22" brown at the dam across from the boat ramp, brookie after dark below the dam and the cutt down in the c&r area.

I think I did see you guys. From the looks of the photo, I think y'all did quite well. Congradulations on the Grand Slam (brown, rainbow, brook and cutt in one day). My goal is to do it with a dry fly!

Yeah, that must've been you walking up without a rod in hand?

I think you may have told me that you were using small jigs - olive i think?? The thought crossed my mind if that was you (maybe from the caricature pic?)...should have asked. May have to meet up with you for a 1/2 day trip next time we are down.

The brown and brook were the nite before and on a rapala. (giant dry fly)

Please give me a call. I would love to take you guys out. I am not sure if the rapala counts as a dry fly.
