Crappie reports

By any chance does anyone have any info on crappie,  I tried to fish Roark bluff but didn't catch anything the other day.  Thank you

I fished Friday for them for about 2 hours. Finally found a little school of them in 10 fow along a bluff by Birch Branch. Caught 8 keepers and 3 shorts in pretty short order once I found them. All good size 11"-121/2" except the few shorts they were about 6". Bobby garland soft plastics, shad color, and 1/16 lead head. Sorry not a lot of help just been bass fishing too much and not stellar results with that either.

Thanks Basschomper! Anyone one else seeing a pattern for crappie? Gonna be there soon and would love to locate some crappie too.

I was all over the main channel on Cc boat ramp,  I hit the drop off a with everything i had,  fished the flats and turned up a catfish a drum and a white bass.  It was very windy today though too so I wasn't able to find any.  I did hear 1 boater caught only 1 11".

Wow, crappie fishing sounds tough right now.

Thank you for the tip.  I thought about staying out longer the other day but fighting the wind and waves from the kayak wore me out.  Hopefully next weekend if it's not too windy.

Good reading on Crappie reports Wife and I were at the lake Tues first time at lake seems like a nice place mostly ran around to see the lake fished some and found a bunch of fish feeding in a cove they were coming up from the bottom and hitting i think minnows the bird screen was just loaded with streaks coming up from the bottom never got a bite tried several things but did have a good time checking out the lake will be fishing it a lot during the week just need to find where we can get minnows up until the freeze comes.

Sounds like they were feeding. Surprised you didn't catch one using minnows. EVERYTHING eats minnows.

Dang guys front moved in are you all fishing for the first time you all know fish shut down on a big storm front
