Guest Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Got out at sun-up and fished in the catch and release area below Bull Shoals Dam. The day started out good and the first fish of the day was an 18.5" Brown Trout. The next fish I caught was a 16" Rainbow Trout, followed by a 18.25" Walleye. The bite slowed after the initial flurry, and I caught five more trout up to 15" in the next four hours and lost a few. 1/16 ounce zig jigs were the only bait that I threw up there.
netboy Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Thanks for the report. Was the water wade able?
Guest Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I was wading the river along with several others. The water was above minimum flow and they were probable generating between 2500 and 3000 cfs. Can't wade everywhere at that flow, but you can still wade a lot of places.
