crappie today

Went up today and had 11 nice crappie and one 5 pound catfish that I had hoped was a walleye when I hooked but but can't be lucky all the time. 35 feet of water on jigs in the brush around State Park area. As a bonus I got to see three Bald Eagles all flying around at the same time over the lake. Great to be in the outdoors.

I saw more bald eagles today than I have in a long time.  Had 3 immatures in one tree.  I am always amazed to see one of those majestic birds.  I'm old enough to remember when you never saw one in the wild around here.
