WebFreeman Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I have a friend that lives about a half mile from it in Eureka. He's pretty new to fishing and just has a Zebco 33 type. What swims in that portion of the river and advice on where to go near Eureka would be greatly appreciated. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
Al Agnew Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 If he's limited to bank fishing and wading, there isn't a whole lot of opportunity in that area except to fish from the bank for catfish and carp. In the summer, you can also wade a few riffles for bass. But...as to what's in it, lots of spotted bass, quite a few largemouths, an occasional smallmouth, lots of sunfish and goggle-eye, crappie in some of the big brushy pools, a surprising number of walleye, white bass in places, lots of catfish, lots of rough fish.
