SilverMallard Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Well, the creek is in good shape from town downstream. The upper CA was bone dry. I didn't even see a trout today. Well, I did see a few flashes in a couple of places I couldn't cast to that could have been small Rainbows. But they also could have been what I did catch several of today...Shiners. I even caught a Shiner that was about 6" long. I think that's the biggest I've ever caught. They tend to hit everything that floats by them. But the big one took a #16 PTN on private property just above the bridge near the confluence with the James River. Also caught a few Chubs today on #18-20 BH Zebra Midges (bug green w/black head). But you know what? I had a great afternoon anyway. And there wasn't another soul on the creek.
