RSBreth Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Fished for a few hours both days this weekend on a favorite "hole" on the Finley. Tried suspending jerkbaits and caught one 2 lb. smallie, but did better on slip float and jigs and soft jerks on a small jig head suspended at about 4-6 ft deep out of the current. One largemouth was about 4, but all the rest were smaller, 7 "green fish" and 5 smallies for winter isn't too bad.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Pretty low, is it not. We're you fishing real close to Ozark? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
RSBreth Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 I will just say I am somewhere on the the Finley above Ozark. And yes, it is really low this winter. I hope to get a good report on the lower James this next weekend, see if the same rig is working there, also.
