Like most everyone I have resisited throwing the A word. It is not a simple throw and retrieve, not to mention the effort that is required.  

This smaller and lighter A rig is much easier to throw all day.  Couple with a medium heavy 7' rod and some braided line.  I use braid cause if I get it hung up bad I can usually just wrap the line on a cleat and straighten a hook to get back most of my $20 investment!

Found that spot Monday by luck when caught a white on a jig bass fishing and then caught 13-14 on the a-rig. Went back yesterday with a bud and with weather change only caught 4. Who knows what this weather has done to them now.

Dollar Bill, you turned off that bank to early this morning. I was in that old maroon ranger. Found some whites down past where you and your buddy quit fishing. I hit your bank this morning with minnows and scraped up 5 and moved right when y'all got there. Hope you made it off the water safe. It was getting rough when I left at 2

I am headed down there this weekend for a LM Bass tournament.  Probably gonna throw the rig.  Any advice on how to catch blacks WITHOUT catching a bunch of whites? LOL

We fished the same bank I videoed and caught 10 between us in the first pass.  Thought that was a little slow so we went to another bank up towards Highpoint and only caught 1 or 2.  Went back to the first Bank and finished up our limits...  Took us 3 hours to fill up so still a great day!  Glad we got off the water when we did!

I caught a few off that bank closer to high point but missed a limit by a few. Guess I'm going to have to break down and tie on an A Rig just to catch up. Have a great weekend guys.
