I will be Camping on the Buffalo River for a week in June. What are your favorite sections of river for Canoeing/Wade fishing at that time of year?

I have Camped at Rush and had alot of luck Wade Fishing for Smallmouth.

How is the Fishing on the upper and middle sections of River?

If you have a week why not do a slow float to Buffalo City?

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I've had great fishing over the entire length of the river (including the Hailstone section). If the upper sections are floatable in June, you can expect huge crowds on the weekends, which isn't great for the fishing. If,on the other hand, it's too low for floating and you don't mind some serious hiking/bushwacking you can be in for a treat. I'd suggest taking a backpack with lots of water, food, and light survival gear. I hope this helps. B) Dan-o

Tyler Bend is nice, close to outfitters and supplies. There are several floats that can be made with it as a base.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
