CEDAR RIDGE CAMPGROUND?

I am headed up in a few hours for the weekend, hoping to find something wanting to bite. just had a couple of questions.... #1 I was told that the Cedar ridge camp ground ramp is open to everyone if this is true is the paybox out or is it free? #2 how is the mud/water conditions from  cedar ridge to high point?  Thanks in advance !!!

The camp ground boat ramp is open to everyone since the day ramp is closed.  I have put in there many times since they closed the day ramp.  As far as water color.  Last Sunday the dirty water had made it down almost to the 245 bridge.  Saturday it was only down past high point a little ways.  I imagine that the water is not to dirty until you get close to high point.  It was quite muddy last weekend past High Point.  I went up passed High Point on Sunday and didn't stop to fish.  The water was very muddy and I decided to go back down to some clearer water.

$5 at the campground ramp (make sure you have your own pen!)  Water color is great around 245 bridge and progressively goes from off color to stained to almost muddy as you approach Highpoint.  57.7° was our high water temp yesterday.
