I recently bought one in a left hand retrieve. I was intending to see if a left hand retrieve helped an aching shoulder.

I fished it today on my Ned rod using 5# Maxima.

Very fast - actually, for this application too fast - and smooth reel. As I was learning the drag and tension settings, I twice buried line behind the spool edge. In two years, I have never done this with the Abu Revo MGX. I never did this throwing jerk baits below the Bull Shoals dam with 4# line. If you intend to fish this very good reel, be sure you use 6 or 8# diameter line. Anyone want a left hand once used reel at less than half the retail price?
