Guest rwolfe Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I got down to the water about 9 yesterday morning. The first half hour was 6 fish caught, 3 strikes missed and 0 recast. I've been coming down to Taney since 1999 and I have never had a day like we did yesterday. We were in the water from 9 till 4 with a 45 minute break around noon. I stopped counting at 50 but am confident with a 60+ figure for the day. And that was my total, not the group total. Mom and Kevin caught every bit as many as I did. Again, it didn't seem to matter what we threw at them. I did try to use the new Vanish Transition as my tippet and that was the slowest part of my day. I switched back to Rio 6x fluorocarbon and it was back to a 10 per hour rate. There were a few boaters that drifted by through the day and they seemed to be catching quite a few as well. It was our last day down and we couldn't have asked for better conditons; no generation, low 70's, overcast, a little breezy and a few showers here and there, but not enough to get us out of the water. It more than made up for all the generation over the weekend.
