newbie from Highland Illinois

I recently joined this forum after many months of browsing the posts. I learned a lot of useful information from this site. I am from Highland Illinois and have been flyfishing for about 4 years now. I guess you call it flyfishing, I am still learning. Getting real good at untangling leader knots. I started flyfishing for trout at Montauk and now am enjoying fishing for bass and bluegill with my fly rod. I did get my wife and daughter into flyfishing also. I got into dry-fly fishing this last summer at Montauk with cracklebacks and now am seriously addicted. I now tie all my own flies, and some of them resemble the pattern fly I started with. I did not have anyone to teach me flyfishing and flytying; I have learned alot from you; the members of this forum. I look forward to being able to join in on some of the forum discussions. Welcome to Ozark Anglers! I think you will find some very good information here and learn a few things too.

Here is some useful information. I used to reside in Illinois and was a member of the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance. They are a great organization and have a BassBuggers Group that meet and learn to tie Flies. You can check them out at www.illinioissmallmouthalliance.com. The have a nice forum also and it will indicate where they are meeting to do some tying. Again welcome to the site.
