rps Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I was in Tulsa Friday and Saturday and drove home to Holiday Island this morning. I saw quite a bit of the heavily hit areas from the storm. Grand River, below Hudson Lake and above Ft. Gibson lake, was moderate flood stage high and brown but not chocolate milk. The Illinois River, between Silom Springs and Springdale, was way out of its banks and chocolate brown and angry. There was evidence that it flooded 412 last night - two cars oddly off the road and grass and limbs matted in the divider fence on the median. The White River, between the dam and Houseman was very high and moving fast. It was stained but not muddy. Beaver Bridge is closed with water over it and both ends and debris caught in the structure.
