Murdoc Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Has anyone been seeing any big fish?? I've heard about the stocker sizes but no hogs! Smiles are free http://rdpflyrods.com/
SilverMallard Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 When I fished below the dam Monday, I caught 14" fish. Hooked one good one who spit the hook right away. But there was a couple from Michigan I chatted with awhile when generation first began and we were waiting to see what they did with it who caught several very nice Rainbows from #3 downstream about 200 yards on 1 generator. None of these fish were over 20", but there were probably a half dozen that were pushing that. That is pretty typical for that stretch of water for the first hour or so after light generation begins. The wife outfished the husband, and they were nymphing. SilverMallard "How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of - and which no other people on Earth enjoy." taxidermist Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 We fished over the weekend and did pretty well, considering it was our first trip to Taney going upstream to the dam. My son caught his first Keeper brown on a chartruas crappie jig, in the area of the riprap about a mile down river from the dam, he caught another nice one, I caught nice bow still in spawning colors.
