Members Tehmilz4 Posted May 23, 2017 Members Posted May 23, 2017 I will be camping with my dad the weekend of the 2nd. My dad hasn't been fishing for about 15 years and would like to be able to get him on some fish. Anyone have any tips? I'll be camping at hermitage
Members Alaskageek Posted May 23, 2017 Members Posted May 23, 2017 Best advice I can give would be to keep an eye on this forum. I found it last year just before my 4th of July trip over from CO and Ranger520vx and MOPanfisher really helped me get all 7 of my kids into some great White bass fishing on Pomme. I am heading over this weekend for the holiday, first time since my father passed away just after Christmas in Bolivar. Will make sure to post a report, but from what I'm reading and seeing, fishing's been rough. Water is way high. I hear it's coming down some, but fish are scattered and not really holding to any one pattern. Not gonna keep me from getting out in the Alaska Fishing Machine on Pomme and probably drowning a few minnows at the Truman lake dam docks too.

I'll be camping at hermitage I will be up there starting Monday thru Saturday camping at Nemo. I'm primarily going to be targeting cats but I will report how it's went for me through the week. I won't be on a boat since mines pretty small and all four of my kids will be with me. I'll help where I can though. Kevin- Tehmilz4 1

Members jwilson48 Posted May 29, 2017 Members Posted May 29, 2017 i certainly can't help. we went today and caught around 40 crappie. only 1 keeper and it wasn't anything to write home about. all the flooded stuff looks like fish should just be stacked in it but we can't get them to bite. we were catching the little dudes in 25-35 fow 10-15 ft down Tehmilz4 1
