Members MikeS Posted March 31, 2007 Members Posted March 31, 2007 Fished major creek arms between points 5-8. 12 keepers, no small fish. All spots and smallies. Good buzz bait bite, until sun popped out. Most bites came from back ends of cuts. Noticed what looked to be abanded beds with alot of 2in. bass fry schools swimming around. Water temp. 58, Will spots spawn and be off the beds already? I assume they were spot beds since my guess is too early for largemouths to have fry already at that temp., but what do I know? Besides the topwater bite I caught wart fish,#8 willow leaf, waked right under the surface, which is basically a topwater bite. Love spring fishing! Good Luck out there.
