Turner Mill Camp

Hello everyone! We are planning a trip down to the Eleven Point in the next few weeks and are considering the option of using Turner Mill campground (south) as our base. Are there any facilities (vault toliets) at that campground?

Turner Mill is a good access point and base camp. It has an outhouse (not flush toilets) and it is a little bit of a walk from the campsites. Good shoal for fishing. Upstream is blue ribbon trout and down is white ribbon. If you have a john boat, the boat ramp will be unuseable until the end of the month when repairs will be made.

Thank you Brian, that is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Is the ramp in good enough shape for canoe launching?

It is fine for canoes.

Hey Brian~ nice to meet you this past weekend, thanks for the advice and the flies. We stopped by after our float on Saturday afternoon, took a shower. I hope you found that $5 I stuck in the door, didnt know if that would still be there or not:) Wish the fish would have cooperated for me a bit more, but I wasnt expecting too much. thanks again!

The fish weren't cooperating? I would think last weekend would be good with the nice weather.

most likely the problem was behind the rod I was kind of going for the smallmouth and hoping for a chance trout, not all that experienced on the trout though.

It was good to meet you as well. I got the shower money, thanks. Yeah the fishing has been hit or miss lately. I got out Friday evening for a couple hours with a friend and the fishing was pretty spotty. They should be stocking the entire white ribbon area soon.

They usually stock right before Easter. Did they not this year?

I think one of the other threads on this forum said they had to push it back this year for some reason.
