Bittle Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I saw an add for these moisture wafers that will help keep your hooks from rusting in your tacklebox. I was wondering if anyone uses them and if they help. Any other suggestions to help keep hooks from rusting would be appreciated. Thanks, Bittle
Terry Beeson Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Hmmmm... I wonder about the dessicant bags and cylinders you find some bottles of OTC meds... bassman1308 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 BITTLE: I'VE USED---THE INHIBITOR-- FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THERE MADE BY PLANO, I THINK, AND CAN BE FOUND IN THE GUN SECTION AT BPS. THEY LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF CARDBOARD. I CUT THEM TO FIT THE BOTTOM OF MY HOOK BOX, AND SET THE HOOKS ON TOP OF THEM. THEY SEEM TO WORK PRETTY WELL. THAT REMINDS ME, I PROBABLY NEED TO REPLACE MINE WITH NEW ONES. HOPE THIS HELPS
Members walleyehunter Posted April 15, 2007 Members Posted April 15, 2007 I second the Inhibitor for keeping the rust off....use them in my gun case also. Use them as bassman stated.
