Leonard Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Wonder how much or how bad its going to be.... so far for the past hour.. Ive only heard the thunder... Less then 5 minutes ago a few drops of rain.. is this going to amount to anything.. or just tease us?? I hear some hail.. and it big!! http://www.taneycomonights.com
Rusty Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Leonard...Aren't you supposed to be resting? Hope you are doing well and not overdoing it. Most times the meds make you tougher than you really are. Just be careful. Sounds like momma is doing her job. Russ
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I only got about a 1/2 inch. But I didn't get a tornado, and that was a good thing. I wasn't paying attention, so had one touched down, I didn't have much time to prepare. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Leonard Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 This may sound alittle funny... Think back about 4 or 5 years ago..the big storm that came though around Halloween (I think).. It made a mess everywhere.. with the damage that storm made.. I cound have swore it was a tornado... but it wasnt... they were just strong up-drafts... that knocked over power line.. up-rooted tree.. and tore the roof off some houses... I hate to see what they classify as a tornado in this area!! we got less then 1/4 inch out here in Ridgedale... but atleast we finally got some rain.. http://www.taneycomonights.com
Rusty Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Is it raining in the Branson area? If so how much? Will it affect fishing at Taney the first part of the week? Russ
MTM Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Nothing here LOL We are in the 40's and 50's for the coming week and should be in the 20's. No snow on the ground either. LOL You folks need that rain don't you? At least taht is what I have read. Ron
Rusty Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 We need all we can get. Driving to Tulsa last week, I noticed ponds that were ankle deep. I have lived here all of my life and have never seen the ponds this low. Sure did ruin alot of good bass fishing ponds. Russ
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 We're getting a good rain. It will have 0 effect on Taney. The only time it effects Taney to any degree is if TR is full and they dump water into BS. Other than that its generation that will affect it. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Danoinark Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Good rain here too Wayne...but as dry as its been it would have to rain for a week (hard) to make much difference I would say. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
