Members troutgal Posted January 13, 2006 Members Posted January 13, 2006 I know I can't possibly be the only female on this forum. Maybe we can find out how many of us there are and start a new topic just for us?
ecce38 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Troutgal- My wife fishes with me a lot of the time, so you are not alone on here. Often she'll just log in under my username and look through the posts to see what's going on with area trout waters. I'm sure there are other women on here as well. Here's a pic of robin. Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Hey Patrick - was that picture of Robin taken at the white river ? Is it right at the mouth of crooked creek entering the white ? am I even close ? (oh and check your signature url.. your www has a , on it) best fishes - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Greg Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 My lovely wife Tina would probably be interested in a ladies forum/topic. She started fly fishing last year and really enjoys it. Guest flyfishBDS Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Robin catches more fish too Hehehe I can tease patrick cos he knows how to fish, ties some handy flies too I have actually been surprised at the number of women fly fishers there are here on the Beaver tailwater. A lot probably has to do with the fact that Charlotte owned the store for 21 years, a woman owning a flyshop is a rarity and good for this pastime. I have quite a few regulars who are women, who come in hang out, tell lies and give me a hard time. Probably 40% of my clients have been women, there are plenty fishing with their husbands but several on their own. Women are easier to teach and generally pick it up faster _ less testorerone _ though I say generally lol Welcome

In fact, she's never fished on the white (I'm working on changing that though).
