John Berry Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 I fished the upper section of Rim Shoals today. There was a caddis hatch coming off(tan size 18). It was very windy and overcast making it difficult to fish dries. I concentrated on emergers and did very well. The biggest fish was a fat well colored rainbow. Members whiteriverinnmoose Posted April 27, 2007 Members Posted April 27, 2007 Hey John, I also had a great day on the White with Chad.Good size rainbows, several in the 16 to 17 inch range and 2 browns over 20 inches.Have you seen the White today? The didymo is so thick from Whitehole down to sportsmans (thats as far as I can see from the deck)it looks like you could walk across it.It would be impossible to flyfish today, this is the worst i have seen it in 3 years,I hope the whole river doesnt look like this today. Tight lines to you All, Moose http://thewhiteriverinn.com
John Berry Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 Moose, glad you have a good day. There is some didy further down at Rim but nothing like you describe. Only time will tell the effects of this stuff. John Berry OAF CONTRIBUTOR Fly Fishing For Trout (870)435-2169 http://www.berrybrothersguides.com berrybrothers@infodash.com
