Members carolina-rig-01 Posted May 2, 2007 Members Posted May 2, 2007 went to shell knob today and had a good time. i had heard reports of some bedding bass but wasn't expecting the numbers i found. i seen countless numbers of shallow bass cruising and found some locked on beds. only fished for two of the fish that were locked on beds as these were the biggest two i seen. i spent an hour and 20 minutes on the first playing the ole game of her grabbing my bait and swimmimg it ever so gently off of her bed before she finally bit the buisness end of my salt craw. she ended up being a 3.5lb. kentucky. the second one was an hour and 10 minutes of the same game, she turned out to be a 4lb. kentucky. the rain started and it made it impossible to see the beds, so i started paralleling the bank with a jerkbait and caught a lot of the cruising fish. ended up with probably 12 or 14 fish, 4 keepers going in the neighborhood of a 12lb. bag. had a blast and all fish were released quickly and healthy. If you can read this thank a teacher. And since it is english thank a soldier!
