Members wagage Posted May 8, 2007 Members Posted May 8, 2007 I haven't lived near Table Rock in over 10 years so I'm a little out of touch. I used to fish a couple of night tournaments a week but I don't think they have the Thursday nighter out of Cricket any more, and I don't know if they still have the Cape Fair on Sat. Are these still going? Are there any other Night tournaments on Table Rock? And where are they out of? I'm back in the area and I was just curious what's out there. Thanks in advance for any info.
pvspmo Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 I know they are still having night tournaments out of Cape Fair... but I think they are on Friday nights????
SKMO Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 There is a Wed night tournament at the Shell Knob Bridge that starts at 6 PM I believe. There is a Friday night tournament that goes out of Campbell point near Shell Knob, I am unsure what time it starts. SKMO "A True Fisherman with a Rod in His hand, and a Tug on the Line, would not Trade His Position for the Throne of Any King"
bassman1308 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 The wedn night tourn at the sk bridge runs 7 pm to 11:00. Its been taking well over 20 lbs to win and it's not been me. $25 entry fee friday night at camp pt. ramp--- 7:30 pm to 1:00. took 24 lbs last week. $35 entry fee saturday night at cape fair, starts this satr night at 7:00. I think. friday night at cape fair, 7:00. i'm not sure about the cape fair times but I'll check it out and repost tomorrow. I had heard mill cr (near kc) is going to have some night tourn. but don't know anything for sure.
Members wagage Posted May 21, 2007 Author Members Posted May 21, 2007 Well we fished last sat. night. Or should I say "donated?" 15lbs. won it, but it really fell off after that. Two stringers of 6+ took second and third. Did see two fish weighed in that were real close to 6lbs. though. We ended up with 2 keepers, not near enough. Fun anyway
Jeremy Rasnick Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Well sounds like fun. I'll be fishing it this weekend and looking forward to it. Sounds like a good tournament. Unlike the Cape Fair Tournament where it takes nearly 20+ LBS to win. I had some buddies Fish the 86 tourney this weekend, if im not mistaking do they pay for big SmallMouth also. What was the entry fee? Do they have a big smallmouth pot? I'll keep my eye open for you next weekend if you fish it.
Jeremy Rasnick Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Hey Gage.....Did the folks at the tourney last weekend mention if they are having a tournament this weekend, Considering that its Memorial Day? I hate to make a trip overthere if there isn't a tournament. I really would like to avoid the lake if at all possible but if they are having it, I'm in.
Members wagage Posted May 24, 2007 Author Members Posted May 24, 2007 They're having one this weekend but they said it'll be from 7 to 1 instead of 6 to 12. I guess because of memorial day. That's what they said as we were leaving. It ought to be good with the moon rising this weekend. Wish I could fish but I can't. Good luck... Should be good.
Jeremy Rasnick Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Gage.....We ended up fishing it this weekend....Fishing was very slow for us before dark. I had been catching some nice SM, include one that went 4lbs 10 oz. Needless to say we didn't have a keeper saturday until dark. We ended up winning the tourney with 18.XX LBs. Saw one feller weigh in a 5+ lb smallie, what a dandy. Every blind hogs finds a nut sometime I guess, we just got lucky after dark. I won't be able to fish next weekend......im heading to van buren mo. to fish a river tourney. Next weekend should be one of the best of the year the moon should be completly full by then.
