Added to the chaos today. My daughter and I fished in the fly only section. We were two of five people fishing the second or third pool after the handicap access. We were on the very end of that pool. A family of eight came up right behing us and layed out blankets and the babies right behind us. They get their 4-5 year olds lined up and the first cast crosses my line. I try to double up on the retrieve, because I can't pull up a cast with the whole fam damily right behind us. Dad starts laughing, mom giggles, and I give a look that you would have thought would have made the point. BUT NO, it gets worse. I pull the tangle in and cut my line. That wasn't easy, but I pulled it off. Without retying, my daughter and I pull up anchor and move down stream. An hour later, here they come again. No kidding, they had to be testing me for sure. On this occassion I grab our stuff and tell my daughter in their presence that this is not how you should treat people. Mom of the bunch yahoos says, did you hear what he just said. Idiots I said, and off we went agian. No more problems the rest of the day.

I don't understand what the problem was? Just slide up next to him, pull out your little stilleto and put a little slit in his 300 dollar waders. Viola, he's gone, doesn't know what hit him and you've got your hole back!

Maybe the guy did not understand English or quite possibly was just hard of hearing. Or something. I fished up there on Friday, and was down in zone 2 all day. I always fish with a buddy of mine, and if we stand next to one another to check out the other guys setup or whatever that is cool. If one of us is retying or changing flies and the other gets into the spot, no big deal. But to have some guy basically act like he owns the space you are in is not cool. It sucks that people are like this and have no manners. That seems to be a problem anymore and apparently can apply to any situation. Maybe a beadhead wolly bugger to the forehead from 40 feet would get his attention!! Oh wait, one of you would have to move 35 feet to make the 40 foot distance possible! On a different note, I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said the following "For a town this small, there sure are a lot of butt&@*^s!", but it really said, well you get the point. Maybe he is from that town!

I want that bumper sticker!
