MOBass Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I hear everyone talking about trout and I understand that. Are there any BASS in Taneycomo and if so where do I go and what do I use? Yes there are Bass in Taney. Check for results from ABA tournaments that run out of Rockaway or Empire. The Bass in Taney are pretty much like they are elsewhere. Look for structure and cover for the fish to hold to. This could be boat docks, vegetation, or wood. Check the creeks, but don't be afraid to fish on the main lake. Jigs, jerkbaits, senkos, texas rigged worms, and topwater have all worked for me at various times. I noticed that there was a ramp in Rockaway Beach. Is it OK to use or would you recommend someplace else? The Rockaway ramp is OK. Empire has a nice ramp, Cooper creek is good for the upper lake, and Branson has one by the campground. There are a few others, but i haven't used them. Thanks for the help.
