Members CAVECLOTH Posted May 6, 2019 Members Posted May 6, 2019 Hey guys, I ran across a 2008 Topwater for sale and don't know much about the boats. I spoke with a boat dealer and he told me he wouldn't use or sell them. I'm taking what he said with a grain of salt, but here's what he told me. He said that they don't use any support between the glass on their construction. No wood or anything, so the hull will only last a year, for guide use. He also said he saw a guy put his foot through the deck of a 2016 model after he jumped a foot and a half from the boat ramp onto the boat deck. What's your experience with these boats? Did they use a support material on their boats in 2008? I know this sounds far fetched, but I need to make sure I'm not buying a boat that will need it's hull re-glassed every few years. I appreciate any and all input. Thank you!
