cpriest Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 wanting to make a float mid next week, does anyone know where i can find the water levels on the internet?
Bill Butts Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 cpriest~ Great choice to wait until AFTER the holiday weekend. Here is link to the only USGS site on the Kings River..... http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?07050500 I seem to recall, but probably not, a different reporting site at the 86 bridge but I can't find it in any of my links. Hope this is helpful. Hope you catch lots of nice Bronzebacks! Bill PS....be sure to take an extra trash bag to pick up some of the trash that folks accidentally pitched over the side of their canoe on Memorial Weekend. cpriest Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 thanks bill, i havent been up there in over a year and i cant wait to get ahold of some smallies
bobber Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 the gauge is at the very end of the river you can't trust it for floating... the best way is to call kings river outfitters and they will tell you about the section your planning to run! i will tell you it's going to be bump and grind if it doesn't rain by the weekend. <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
