We recieved 1 1/2" of rain here at Roaring River last night, much needed and the river remained clear and is still very fishable, just wondered how the other local rivers looked, there was a lot of rain where I live in Billings, not sure how much but I'll be over 1 1/2 inches. Just wondering how everybody else faired.

2.23 inches since Friday morning. It is raining like crazy right now, and should add another half to three quarters to that total. We were supposed to have two makeup softball games today, but it looks as though those will have to be made up at a latter date.

Joplin airport recorded 1.5 +, Springfield also 1.5, Rolla a little less than 1, LOZ less than that, Spirit near St. Louis .75, Farmington trace.

I'm going fishing today and checking the weather online. Go to noaa.gov. Big storms pushing through SW Mo. T-storms likely in the Meramec basin, where I'm going, but still hard to call. Probably a good fishing day. Severe storms not likley to be widespread.

Also, for some reason the USGS river gages are all down?! Don't know what's up there. No readings since last night.

Got an inch Friday and so far this morning we have 1.5 inchs and still coming. As of yesterday the creeks looked ok in my neck of the woods. Haven't been out yet today.

Wow, crazy weather.

We got about an inch and a half, but we had a burst that put leaves, small limbs, and a few trees, on the ground. I never saw any hail, but when the worst hit my first thought was a small tornado, it wasn't but it was strong.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I have a small rain gauge that goes to four inches, it was full this morning. Finley is way up, they closed the park. Should be open tomorrow, but the river is running chocolate and about 3-4 foot high.

I came accross flat creek last night, at Jenkins (248 bridge) it was about 3 foot higher and brown, but crane creek was in good shape, a bit higher and still clear.

I got 3" in my tent Friday night. LOL

Seriously, I was out at Jolly Mill all weekend. Friday night we got 3" of rain there according Lee's gauge. It also rained most of the morning Sat morning. Capps Creek was up and muddy and just beginning to clear a bit by Sunday at noon.
