hfdhoosier Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I was able to fish with my family and daughters friend at Montauk for 4 days. I fished both the park and trophy waters by Tan Vat access. In the park the fish were biting on zebra midges, pheasant tail nymphs, orange egg patterns, red copper johns. In the trophy area, good bites on olive buggers, anything with olive hackle stripped upstream, orange egg patterns. another guy was having luck on a chamois worm fly. Here is a pic of my daughter on the left and her friend with their catch in the park. It was my daughters friends first time ever with a fly rod, first time trout fishing and her first 2 trout. Fishing was great, stream up a little but fished well. Hated to leave to come home. HFDHOOSIER Dennis Eat, Fish, Sleep,....Repeat Member: ozarkflyfishers http://www.ozarkflyfishers.org/
