G-ROD Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 I am going on a float from hwy 17 all the way to Jerome and am needing advice. Can this float be made in a 20' jon with 90 horse motor?? It is a flat bottom Seaark. I do not plan on using the outboard unless needed, just the trolling motor. Mainly wondering if this boat will get through the shallow spots with the outboard trimmed up. Thanks for any advice. -------------------- Mo Smallmouth Hunter Gary
riverrat Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I wouldn't attempt it. There are a lot of shallow shoals and downed trees to dodge. How much water does your boat require to float? Thats a 35 mile float so I assume you'll have several days supplies. The Gasconade is not really that big there. You could do it without the weight of the motor. Jets don't run very far on this section except below the Big Piney.

With this boat, would it be any better to start at Riddle?? -------------------- Mo Smallmouth Hunter Gary
