Members David Bolin Posted June 15, 2007 Members Posted June 15, 2007 I'm going to be in Springfield this weekend. Was planning to fish Taney, but it looks like they'll be generating all weekend. I'm considering spending Saturday exploring Crane creek. One of my coworkers from Springfield said they got a lot of rain West of Springfield this week. Can anyone tell me if the creek is blown out? db
Danoinark Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I think it was pretty low the last time I heard, so it may be just right this weekend. Take one of your short canes and catch one for me.... Hope you have a great trip...Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Terry Beeson Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 David, Seems most of the rain was well north of Crane and that part...most was north of I-44. I know Roaring River is fine and Crane is OK right now... Good options. Get Tim's number at the fly shop and he can keep you up to date on the conditions over Cassville way... Tim? you there? timsfly Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I drove over it today, it is clear and stil a bit high, should be good fishing. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Members David Bolin Posted June 16, 2007 Author Members Posted June 16, 2007 Perfect! I'll stop by Backcountry tomorrow morning for a few flies (I assume that's the fly shop Terry is referring to). Looks like the weather will be overcast with the possibility of a shower. Nymph weather I suppose. I assume this is a 6x or 7x high sticking...no indicator...sight fishing thing. I'll ask more questions at the shop in the morning. Thanks! db
