Members tkite Posted June 20, 2007 Members Posted June 20, 2007 Just wanted to stop in and say hi. My name is Tom Kite and I live in Lees Summit Missouri just outside of Kansas City. I grew up fishing the rivers and lakes South of St Louis. My favorite being Big River at Leadwood Missouri. Used to ride my bike there with a can of corn and catch perch all day long. As i got older I discovered the fine smallmouth bass fishing on the river and caught my fair share. At age 21 something horrible happened . I discovered golf and have spent the last 14 years of my life chasing the little white ball all over the United States. But for some reason this spring at Branson we decided to rent a boat and go out on Table Rock . I caught 2 small smallies and got hooked again. I just purchased my first boat a 1985 Fiberglass Tracker 1710 with 90 hp motor and IU pick it up tomorrow. So I'll be hittiing the lakes around here starting aboout 6am this Saturday. One last thing I cannot believe how much rods ,reels and lures have gone up since I quit fishing in 93. That was quite a shock to walk in and look at those prices.

The details here don't support all the gushing that Terry is pouring on. Check this link The REAL Tom Kite 'discovered' golf more than decade earlier in life, and won his first tournament at age 11. He was also the first in Tour history to reach $6 million, $7 million, $8 million, and $9 million in career earnings. He was the Tour’s leading money-winner in 1981 and 1989. So I think that he'd be less sticker-shocked by gear and would have a MUCH nicer boat! Sincerely, Tiger Woods
Terry Beeson Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 HHC... maybe you should read ALL of my post... But, Tom Kite WAS one of my favorite golfers when I cared about golf... Now it's more like what Paul O'Neil said: "I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering trout..." gonefishin Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 BAH!! Who wants to play cow pasture pool when there are fish in the water??? Well, unless you are making a lot of money playing golf that is. :P I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
