Members walleyehunter Posted July 2, 2007 Members Posted July 2, 2007 Went out fishing Last friday, I just bought some new Cabela Walleye Runners and wanted to give them a good work out to see if they do catch fish. I was very impressed with the lure, they ran stright right out of the box even at a fairly fast trooling speed. At my first stop I picked up a nice 18" walleye on my first pass in 20' of water, made a few more passes with no luck. Went to a different area and was I busy. With in two hours I cought and released 7 walleyes, again from 20' to 30' of water. The walleye's all were about the same size from 17" to 19". I started fishing around noon and gave up at 4:00 as the boat traffic was getting heavy on the lake. I did like the walleye runners, I know now they do catch fish. Walleyehunter.

RiverRunner Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Greers Ferry Lake is located in North Central Arkansas in Cleburne and Van Buren Counties near the towns of Heber Springs, Greers Ferry, & Fairfield Bay. It is an impoundment of the Little Red River. It is about 65 miles North-Northeast of Little Rock. It is a typical deep & clear Ozarks Reservior with quite a bit of standing timber. It is best known for its Walleye and Hybrid fishing, but it can be a good bass lake at times.
Members walleyehunter Posted August 2, 2007 Author Members Posted August 2, 2007 Iv'e had some down time becouse of my truck break down, it's back from the garage so I'm a happy fisherman again. I fished for 5 hours from 6:00-12:00. It was slow to say the lest. Only had two bites all day, one 5pd hybrid and a 19" walleye. Both fish came in the last hour of fishing when it was starting to get hot out. To hot for me so I'll try again later in the week.
