Members OnTheFly Posted July 4, 2007 Members Posted July 4, 2007 I know this sounds silly but some years the crowds are HUGE and some they are just a regular summer crowd....what were the crowds like today (July 3rd)? Thinking about joining the fray tomorrow.
timsfly Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 The park is very busy, but the 4th being in the middle of the week, has made it seem less busy than usual, there are plenty of people fishing. Call 417-847-2430, (this is the hatchery #) and they can tell you how many people are fishing each day. I have been very busy at the shop, I fished a bit this morning and it will be worth your time to come down and fish, lots fish in the river and there are several 15" fish, and of course for bigger fish, the C&R area will be much less crowded than the other areas. Tightline Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I will be down 7/5,7/6 and 7/7,will stop by Tims to get the latest catchers. This is the first time this year at RR for me,I think I enjoy their campgrounds more than any other. And the fishing, well, topnotch.Anyone else gonna be there then?
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Considering a trip on Friday and Saturday myself. Not sure if it'll be RR or Taney. I'll be driving a black Nissan with a camo stripe on the bottom; OAF sticker on the back bumper. Look for a big man with a green tilley hat. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
