I mean, if you cant BE fishing might as well chat it up, right?!

After reading ya'lls exploits, jesting, and concerns for our beloved activity for several months now, thought I'd finally stick my toe in the water.

So heeeere goes!

I've been fishing one way or another most all my life. In the last 5 years, however, my time on water has skyrocketed with my fortune of living in a community with several bodies of water- Lake Sherwood. My bass fishing skills have since become quite acceptable. My preferred method is a fly rod and the salmonids at any of the fine streams of our grand state- though floating a river and searching out smallies is something I crave rather frequently, albeit not pursued enough in reality.

I try and fish at least a little most every day. I sit behind a computer at work all day, so that "activity" is not on my to do's when I get home. All in all, spinning tackle, baitcasters, fly rod....matters not so long as I'm on the water!

So, anyone here familiar with my home waters, Lake Sherwood? I'd like to hear from ya!

May your casts be with the wind and your hookups solid!

Welcome to the forum.

Are you talking about Lake Sherwood about 35 miles west of St. Charles? If so yep I was there once but never got to fish it.

Jess, you indeed are correct. We straddle the St. Charles/Warren County border.

I will now take advantage of this response to include another nice "pheesh" A Windrush 'bow:
