drew03cmc
What length and weight fly rod do you recommend for Crane, and all of the other small wild trout streams? Would an 8' 4wt be short enough for all of these places? I would be throwing everything from a #8 BH bugger to a #24 trico. Please help me out as I plan a trip down in the area of Crane in the next month! Thank you! Andy
Steve Smith
Talk to Tim at his fly shop TimsFly@hotmail.com. He fishes Crane quite a bit. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
drew03cmc
Thanks Steve! Yeah, I am thinking about grabbing a 6'6 Featherlight for the smaller streams and use the 8' rod for everything else. Andy
Members OnTheFly
I use a 6'6" 3wt G series Scott....has worked great on that little stream
timsfly
I fished crane today with my 6'10" 4wt scott, it always works well for me over there, I almost always fish 7' and shorter at crane.
