bferg Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 We are headed over to fish upper bull next week. Launching from k-dock. Kind of an open ended question but any advice for a first timer over there? Targeting mainly LM and SM bass... MSUFisherBear 1
MSUFisherBear Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 I haven't fished this end of the lake a ton, so better not take my words for gospel, but what little bit I have had the opportunity to do, I seem to do well dragging a jig in the usual natural craw colors and throwing a swimbait. I seem to catch more LM on the swimbait and SM on the jig. Again, take this advice sparingly, because of the limited experience, but I also seem to do better along hard bottoms (chunk rock, gravel, etc.) than soft bottoms. With the water being a bit higher right now, you might check along any newly flooded bushes, too. Good luck! Would love to see a report and to see how you guys did. There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind. ~Washington Irving
