superfly Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 How has the blue ribbon section been fishing? Any reports or fish stories? Superfly
Brian Sloss Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 The blue ribbon area is fishing pretty well lately. Got up there the last couple of days for about an hour each evening and stoneflies and Don's crawdads have been working well. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Members flyfisherman Posted July 16, 2007 Members Posted July 16, 2007 I fished that section on the 5th and 6th last week. The first day caught 10 and the second day caught 6. All of the fish except one was caught from Island 4 through Mary Decker. The best stretch was the fast water at Hurricane shoal, caught 5 there, all on Dons Crawdads. Mary Decker was a close second. Overall the size was decent with my biggest coming at Island 4. The river was in great shape, the high sky and sunny days din't do me any favors.
