Fished Roaring River

My friend Greg and I arrived about 3:30 from a morning trip to Taney and we fished a few hours in the Fly Zone. It's a rare thing to find me in a trout park on a Saturday but our options were limited. We initially wanted to fish the C&R area but we spotted at least 6 people out there as we drove over the bridge.

I didn't catch as many as I usually do when I'm at RR. I stayed in one spot all afternoon. Not crowded at first so the fish were biting good. As fishermen arrived at the pool, the action slowed down. I finished with 13 bows all taken on a variety of scuds, zebras, cracklebacks, and leeches. Greg caught at least twice as many, taking most of his with beetles, midges, and san juan worms. My nicest fish was a dark colored fat 15 inch bow.
