Members D.T. Posted July 18, 2007 Members Posted July 18, 2007 I see thay ran generation all night last night. I hope this is not a sign for the next few days. Has it been hot this week in Branson? I will be down over the weekend hoping for some wade time. Was down the first of June and only had one day of good wadable fishing. Dave
Terry Beeson Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Dave, It's been hot down here... hot and humid... well really about average for this time of year... in the 90s Looks like we're in for a bit of cooler weather after today through the weekend. I would say you might have to keep a check on the generation number, but will find some fishing time in there... Members D.T. Posted July 18, 2007 Author Members Posted July 18, 2007 Terry, Thanks, My wife set this weekend up for me and said to fish as long and as much as I wanted she even asked if I really wanted her to come on the trip with me. What was I going to say to that I mean is that a loaded question that would lead to no good. Thanks again, Dave
Terry Beeson Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Yep... loaded question... "Do you really want me to come with you, Dear?" You say "no" and she hears "I don't want anything to come between me and the fish. Besides, I might see a good looking woman sunbathing and want to stare at her for a while..." OR You say "yes" and she hears "I really feel guilty about this and in order to make up for that guilt, I will sacrafice an otherwise very enjoyable weekend by letting you come along and forcing me to go shopping with you... and ruining any chance I might get to stare at a good looking woman sunbathing..." Been there.... Done that.... No way to win that one... Members kitgebhardt Posted July 18, 2007 Members Posted July 18, 2007 I almost always take my wife to Branson with me. We get a place at Lilley's. I fish, she cooks, reads, shops, etc... The only win, win that I know of and it works every time.
Members D.T. Posted July 18, 2007 Author Members Posted July 18, 2007 Kit, That is exactly our plan this weekend, Lilleys and all. Seriously I am looking forward to it It's only the second time in 18 years we have had a trip to our selfs. With 4 kids it is hard to get everyone a place to go at the same time. The last one I wouldnt really count as a fun trip it was to the Mayo clinic but we still managed some shopping and a little flyfishing.
rps Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Those trips to yourselves are dangerous. Next thing you know and you'll be talking to each other. I mean really talking like you forget how to do while raising kids, working, and paying bills. Then before you know it, you go crazy like we did and quit your jobs and move to the lakes to find different jobs for less money. Five years now and we still think it was a good idea. Maybe next year we'll tell the kids where we are. ;-)
Members D.T. Posted July 19, 2007 Author Members Posted July 19, 2007 rps, I would be there next week if my sinceable calmer level headed better half would move. She says when we retire. I tell her that realestate is cheaper now than 20 yrs down the road so far she wont budge but it doesnt hurt to keep trying. After your post it gives me hope. Dave
soggyfeet Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I know its has been a while for this thread but i just read it. I just need to know where Terry has been fishing at Tany. It sounds much better than way down in the trophy zone where i usually end up. Not a chance of seeing a lady much less a person or two. Maybe thats why its always so crowded way up by the dam and the outlets. Also makes give second thought about all that talk about the strippers club and the brass pole he speaks of. I might need to check this place out. The big hole thats just below outlet three isnt it? soggyfeet Brian
Terry Beeson Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Soggy... Re-read that comment... I never said there WAS any sunbathing babes in the area... That was merely the interpretation that wives usually hear from our answers. My wife is convinced that I place my deer stands 16 feet up a tree so I can look down on any woman who might be sunbathing in the area... even when it's 20 degrees out there... For some reason she thinks I have sex on the brain all the time... can't imagine why...
