I started fly fishing about 3 years ago and have not picked up a bass rod since. Not saying I will get rid of them just yet, but I am an addict. Started fly fishing at Bennett Springs, but my favorite is now Taneycomo! Live in Ballwin (man I wish I lived closer!) with my wife and three teenagers (13, 16 & 19), so I don't get to fish as much as I would like, but I try to get out at least once a month.

After spending many summers on Table Rock, fishing with guides, my grandparents retired to Kimberling City in 1974. I had the pleasure of visiting quite often and going out with my Grandpa to bass fish. After spending so much time with guides on TR, he knew the lake like the back of his hand and we always caught fish. Sad thing is, I would take my wife to Branson (not that part) for the attractions and shops, but never never checked out Taneycomo. I guess I just thought it was another lake and new nothing about fly fishing! What a shame.....could have spent time learning and fishing both if I would have only known!

Cool site and great info!

Thanks

Mike

Mike... similar story to me... Fished the first 40 years of my life with a bass rod... Now they are gathering dust in the corner... Fly fishing has taken over my brain!!!
