BrianK Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I'll try to make it tonite maybe 10 -11ish. Doesn't look like they ever shut the water off last nite completely. Anyone have the inside scoop? or a 'feel' for what they'll do tonite. Hate to drive 2 1/2 hrs to find too much water to fish........ I'll listen to the ph#. What's the maximum water level again to wade??? Looking forward to meeting some new folks. Brian
Leonard Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Brian... the max is (for the most part) 710+ thats all 4 units going but I have heard once or twice a 710.5 the last time I call it was 704.7 with 2 units going.. that is about the of 1 unit going hard... here in the next few hour.. it wouldnt surprize me if they cranked all 4 on. as far as what the have been running at night is 1 unit.. after Phils post the other day (about the boat).. that has really been the only time the water has been shut down completely... I didnt go lastnight... but looking at the chart... this is what Im reading... close to midnight it looks like the turn 2 on (maybe a low 3) and run that for an 30-45 minutes and back it back off to 1.. I could be wrong.. but just looking at the chart thats what I see Leonard http://www.taneycomonights.com
drew03cmc Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 1, 2, 3...wow...way over my head. No idea what you all are talking about, but I wish I had the time to drive down for a few nights of monster trout possibilities! Andy
BrianK Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 thanks Leonard, nice fat brown pic by the way..... hopefully see you down there tonite. guess i'll just head down and hope for the best. Is it worth bringing the boat just in case they only go down to about 2 units???? that would at least give some access to some more water down by the ramp, big hole, etc.... just a thought. b
Leonard Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I really cant tell you what to do with a boat... I have never fished out of a boat in the dark.. are you wanting to fish it when the water is on out of your boat?? 1, 2, 3...wow...way over my head. exactly what we are talking... 3 units are over your head...LOL... way over anybodys head http://www.taneycomonights.com
Danoinark Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 If they are running any water, it would probably be a bust for me so I doubt I would make the 30 minute trip. I will keep checking the powerhouse. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Danoinark Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 11:30 pm, still one unit. I am calling it a night. I just don't think I want to fight the fog and the water tonight. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Leonard Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Dano... my good friend... dont shoot the messenger... They shut the water at mid-night.. but the fishing was slow any ways... oh who am I kidding.... IT WAS A AWESOME NIGHT!!! http://www.taneycomonights.com
