Directions from Branson?

I will be spending some time at the lake this next week and wanted to make a morning trip over to Crane one day. I have never been and was wondering what's the best route to get there from Branson (I'll be staying over by Kimberling actually) and about how long will it take. My plans were to fish Taney in the mornings but I notice generation has picked up again recently so I want a second option to wet a line while the wife sleeps in . Thanks for any info.
