Storm water workshops slated

From submitted reports

The Watershed Education Project and Friends of the North Fork and White Rivers and other partners will host two workshops presenting information critical to the conservation of the twin rivers and their watersheds. These workshops are designed for concerned citizens, land developers, planning-zoning organizers and real estate agents.

The first workshop is set for 5-8 p.m. Aug. 2 at James A. Gaston Visitor Center in White River State Park at Bull Shoals with a reception and displays with seminars and discussions to follow. Topics by noted experts include storm water education, storm water regulations, storm water best management practices and a panel discussion.

The second workshop (not a repeat of the first workshop) is set for 5-8 p.m. Aug. 9 at James A. Gaston Visitor Center in Bull Shoals. The workshop will feature seminars by participating experts on storm water projects, storm water regulations, municipal and county ordinances for storm water and mock storm water planning.
