Terry Beeson Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Cadron Creek Catfish was started several years ago in the Conway and Bee Branch areas of Arkansas. Now they have opened one in Vally Springs/Western Grove on 65 south of Harrison, AR. Anyone tried it yet? If it's anything like the ones down 65, it is GREAT catfish - all you can eat. Gotta try it one of these days myself to find out. CMAC Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Ever ate at the Depot there outside of Harrison? Breakfast is (was) good!!
Danoinark Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Terry, Its primarily the same. Depot was THE place for breakfast, especially after a late night... Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Members catfish Posted July 28, 2007 Members Posted July 28, 2007 Cadron Creek south of Harrison is the same style as Bee Branch. I have tried them twice and it just didn't seem like the quality of the food was as good as Bee Branch. Just my opinion. I have always found good catfish at Catfish Wharf on the North side of Harrison.
Danoinark Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Hiya Catfish. I have never been at the one at Bee Branch, but frankly I wasn't that impressed with the one here in Valley. Catfish Wharf was THE place a few years back, it changed hands and went down, now it has changed again and its sure alot better. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Members catfish Posted July 28, 2007 Members Posted July 28, 2007 Yea, Dano I think I hit it sometime during that period when it was down. I guess I was lucky that I missed it during that time. I have been in a couple times in the past 6 months and it seemed pretty good. How about some good BBQ in Harrison? I used to eat at Circle J's once in a while several years ago but seems they disappeared.
Danoinark Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Catfish Yeah Circle J closed a few years back. I like Bodacious BBQ .. He's in a small yellow trailer across from Pizza Hut and Goodyear in the parking lot next to Miquels Mexican Rest. He serves up the biggest BBQ sandwiches I have ever seen. Also great ribs, sausage and makes his own pork rinds. I like his best because it is the closest I can get to delta BBQ around here. I am not much for the Texas stuff. I like PORK... There is a place out on Capps Road called Roosters. I have been a few times but not as good at Bodacious. The Bodacious fellow goes to alot of those festivals and such, so he just pulls out his trailer when he has one, and comes right back to the spot I mentioned when he is back in town. Members catfish Posted October 7, 2007 Members Posted October 7, 2007 Dano, I finally got to try Bodacious BBQ Friday. Wife had a meeting in Harrison so I tagged along and took in some of the Festival around the court square. It was excellent. I will be back for more. My wife liked it a lot better than K T's at Gassville. We had the pork sandwichs(BIG) I believe biggest I was ever served. Can't wait to try some of his other stuff.

Heck catfish you shoulda hollered when you were in town. I would have come over and had one of them myself. My building is just across the street from the square. Aren't those the biggest samiches you ever had? I would say close to a lb if not a whole lb on them things. I know sometimes we just buy a lb, get some buns and you got at least 6 regular size samiches. His ribs are excellent to. Glad you enjoyed. He will be back to his old haunt across from the Pizza Hut I am sure Monday if not already. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
