Thom Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Monday nite at the dam.......... I am posting this in a new thread to update my trip this week. Went to the dam last night to brighten my horizons. New experience for me and my grandson fishing in the dark. we walked down toward the gauntlet and Leonard riggec my 13 year old grandson up and started him up stripping an olive pine squirrel. He then came downstream with me and while he was working with me Zack landed 12 nice bows by himself. Talk about pressure for a grandfather. I guess i need to be proud while most grandparents are worried that their grandson will get in trouble My worry is that he will never let me forget that he outfished me. Leonard put us both on fish and we had a great time. Since Leonard is a guide I will not elaborate on where and what we fished in detail but to say that the pine squirrel, sculpin, and other flys that leonard tied on and showed us produced in black and olive. We probaly caught near 20 + fish between us with Zack on the higher end of that total. Leonard caught several also. I you are interested in learning to fish taney at night I can highly recommend Leonard who can be located at tanneycomo nights.com website to get you started or introduce you to the flies that will work.
