Danoinark Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Thom Thanks for the brining us up to date on your trip. I had been wondering how it was going. I noticed there was low water this morning (wed) and wondered how the fishing was during no generation today. Great pictures and thanks for sharing. Thom Posted August 2, 2007 Author Posted August 2, 2007 Dano: There was a lot of traffic on the water toda still lots of fun. We fished below the island at lookout and did well catching several fat colorful fish with at least 5 in the 16 inch range. Bows were midging at the shallows by point royale and we fished zebras with both copper and black heads 16 & 18 with silver or copper wire. Did well on all. We also had good luck on y version of a hares ear which is all natural raabbit color and a gold 1/8 gold bead on a 2487 16 hook. I tie the tail around the bend to give it a shrimp look. When the water came on about 2pm we floated hairs ears as droppers below attracters and picked up a few on the way back to Lilley’s. Hopefull the pic of one of the large fat bows will post . It was hooked with 4 units running in the channel just befor e the powerlines. I had to pull over to the shallows to land her because the current was so strong I couldn’t get it to the boat and didn’t want to kill the fish. see attachment in above post Thom Harvengt
