I was wondering if anyone has been to Rockbridge south of Mountain Grove and Cabool about 50 miles. I know it's a trout park and cost to get in and I'm sure there's plenty of fish, but I was wondering about outside the park and if you can get access to it? If you can is it worth it or is it more like if you're gonna go, go to the park and pay the money!

Thanks all,

Dang bro, you live so close to so many good waters....unless you're looking to teach someone how to fish or to impress that special someone with your fishing prowess, I just don't see the point. If you just can't resist the allure of the prosti-trout, I believe it's still catch-n-keep at Rockbridge. Don't know anything about stream access outside of the place though.

Yep! Pretty fortunate to live here. I might jump on the scoot and check it out for the ride and for the fishin'

Thanks,

Thanks Brian,

I went down today to check it out. It's a pretty place and a great place to take the kids and get them on the fish, but that's about it. I hear they have a nice restaurant too. Anyway, now I know!

Yes, it really is a nice place but beware, it is my understanding that catch and realse is pretty "pricy"...maybe in the range of $70.00 per rod. Then if you want to keep any, they clean them for you and again, it's real pricy. You may want to call them and get the details on this. Could turn into a pretty expensive trip.

Bob A,

Yeah, it is for sure pricey. I had some fisherman drive 8+ hours to fish the NFOW with me and the river ended up blown out. The White & Norfork were both running water so I threw out Rockbridge as an option and I think then it was $75.00 for a day of c&r for each person. Don't get me wrong it was great for teaching as the fish are fairly easy to catch. I do think it would be pretty good for kids but to be honest Dry Run Creek is only about an hour and a half away and it is free...2 kids for a day of c&r $150 compared to gas money to drive to Dry Run, hmmm :)
